Are Babylux products safe for babies with eczema or sensitive skin?

In general, Babylux products are designed to be gentle and suitable for sensitive skin, including babies who are prone to irritation. Babylux products avoid these irritants, making them more suitable for delicate or eczema-prone skin compared with typical nappies or wipes that include these ingredients.

What are Babylux Baby Wipes made from?

Babylux wipes are made from 100% bamboo fibre, which is naturally soft and gentle on delicate skin.

Our full ingredient list is: 100% bamboo fibre, purified water, glycerin (vegetable oil), 1,3-butanediol (moisturiser), aloe barbadensis extract, cetylpyridinium chloride (antiseptic).

The moisturising glycerin and aloe extract help maintain skin moisture, which is important for babies with dry or eczema-prone skin.

Are the any Parabens, alcohol, fragrance, inks, dyes, chlorine or any other hash Chemicals in Babylux Wipes?

No. Babylux wipes are free from parabens, alcohol, fragrance, inks, dyes, chlorine, and other harsh additives, which are commonly associated with skin irritation.

Our wipes are designed with sensitive skin in mind and are made without ingredients commonly known to irritate delicate or eczema-prone skin. Because of this, Babylux wipes are designed to be hypoallergenic and suitable for everyday use on delicate skin.

Are Babylux nappies and nappy pants suitable for sensitive skin?

Babylux nappies and nappy pants are designed with sensitive skin in mind. They are hypoallergenic, breathable, and made without inks, perfumes, parabens, preservatives, or chlorine.

These features are intended to help minimise irritation and friction, which can be particularly important for babies with delicate or eczema-prone skin. As every baby’s skin is different, we recommend monitoring how your baby responds and seeking advice from your healthcare professional if you have any concerns.

What are Babylux nappies made of?

Babylux nappies are made using a combination of soft nonwoven fabrics, highly absorbent materials, and breathable components, all selected to support comfort, absorbency, and everyday wear for babies.

Top Sheet (the layer against baby’s skin)

The top sheet is made from embossed SS nonwoven fabric. This material is designed to be soft, flexible, and durable, helping provide a gentle feel against delicate skin while maintaining strength and stretch.

Absorbent Core

The absorbent core is made from a blend of:

Airlaid paper (fluff pulp) made from natural wood fibres, which creates a soft, bulky, and highly absorbent structure.

Super Absorbent Polymers (SAP), which help lock away moisture and keep the surface drier.

A nonwoven wrapping sheet that helps hold the core materials in place.

This combination allows the nappy to be thin yet highly absorbent, helping reduce bulk while maintaining performance.

Backsheet (outer layer)

The backsheet is made from a breathable polyethylene (PE) film combined with nonwoven fabric. This breathable layer allows air circulation while helping to prevent leaks, supporting comfort during wear.

Waistband & Fit Components

The waistband uses SMS nonwoven material combined with elastic elements to provide a secure yet flexible fit.

Front and side tapes are made from soft nonwoven materials, designed for ease of fastening and adjustment

Wetness Indicator

Babylux nappies include a wetness indicator, applied using a safe adhesive, to help caregivers know when it’s time for a change.

Tips for babies with Sensitive Skin

Every baby’s skin is different. If your baby suffers from sensitive skin including nappy rash and eczema, it’s a good idea to:

• Do a patch test with a baby wipe first.
• Try the nappy for shorter periods at first and change more frequently.
• Include lots of nappy-free time to let the skin breathe.
